Concerned Citizens of Fridley Update

It's been some time since we updated this website and for that we are sorry. We know that many of you check the site regularly and have no doubt wondered why no updates.

In March we reported to you about our guest speakers from Prior Lake. We have since been working diligently to put to use what we learned from them.
We decided to do what they did and have begun to seek out candidates for local office who can help us to change the housing patterns and the Comprehensive Plan to meet the needs of the community and not anyone else. Although we as a group do not endorse candidates we can help citizens to understand that the right candidates are where the answers lie.

We have been working on several items that you will now have the opportunity to view on the website. First a pamphlet that spells out the housing issues in Fridley, the changes that need to be made and a plea to you the voter to choose your elected officials based on those goals. These pamphlets are being distributed currently throughout Fridley.

Second, a candidate pledge asking potential candidates to agree to the best of their ability to represent the needs of the people. This pledge was sent to each of the nine prospective candidates, four in Ward 2, three in Ward 3 and two in Ward 1. The pledge was accompanied by a letter from our Chair, Tom Myhra.
